It is no secret that Tottenham Hotspur are in desperate need of cover in central defence. Left-back Ben Davies has started the last nine Premier League games in a row at center-back, a role that, while not unfamiliar, is not his natural position. Emerson Royal, another fullback, has also partnered him for a number of these games. As per Fabrizio Romano , there might be a solution around the corner in the form of Genoa defender Radu Dragusin.
Radu Dragusin has accepted all details of Tottenham contract proposal as personal terms have been agreed, as revealed last week.
Despite public statements on new deal, he’s now waiting for Spurs.

As reported by the transfer guru, the Romanian defender has agreed personal terms with Tottenham Hotspur. In another report, Italian journalist, Marco Giordano claims that Dragusin “dreams” of playing for Spurs and are just awaiting both clubs to meet on a fee.
Genoa are reportedly asking for £30 million and Spurs, in true Daniel Levy fashion have offered £25 million. Talks are ongoing and have been since December as Postecoglou wants his man to be integrated into the squad before the Premier League match against Manchester United on the 14th of January.
Dragusin agreeing to personal terms means that as soon as the clubs can agree on a fee, the deal will be all but done.
Summer signing Micky Van de Ven was enjoying a flying start to life in the Premier League before his ill-timed injury sent him to the treatment room. A little over two months later, the towering Dutchman is on his way back to the field, much to the delight of everyone at Tottenham.
With regular partner and Spurs vice-captain Cristian Romero out until the end of January, it is very likely that if Drausin is to sign for Tottenham in the first week of January, as Postecoglou prefers, we could very well see him make his debut against Manchester United.
Drausin is an aggressive and very much a front-foot defender, much like Romero. He has been praised for his “commanding” presence in the box and his leadership qualities as well. His early signing, if it does happen, will signal that Tottenham are willing to back their manager who is still in the infancy stages of his project.
